Omar Pineiro (born May 15,1997), Smokepurpp is an American rapper and producer from Florida, United States. He burst into the lo-fi rap scene in 2015 through the online audio distribution platform Soundcloud. He started out as a producer during his high school days and started rapping after being unsuccesful in that line of work. Pineiro released his debut commercial mixtape Deadstar on september 28,2017, and the mixtape peaked at number 42 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Smokepurpp & Long time friend Lil Pump released Nephew June 12 of 2018 and has been his biggest record yet win over 100 million streams.
